COvid-19 Safety Precautions, City Hill Church

  • Due to the current state mandate in Ohio, we ask that all people ages 10 and up wear face coverings to our services. Children ages 2 to 9 are encouraged to wear face coverings, especially those who might be high risk.
  • The building will be thoroughly cleaned before and after each service.
  • We will have four hand sanitizing stations throughout the building.
  • The front doors of the church will open at 10:15am, and we encourage people not to congregate in the lobby, but rather, enter the building and go straight to the auditorium. After the service, we ask that people leave the auditorium and congregate outside under the front awning to socialize (weather permitting). This will be our "outside lobby".
  • Offering will be collected in a self-standing station located at the rear of the auditorium or you can give online at www.cityhill.cc.
  • In the auditorium, rows of chairs will be spaced 6ft. apart, so please leave 2-3 chairs between groups of families.
  • We will use individual, sealed serving cups for communion.
  • Restrooms are located on each side of the auditorium. Please only ONE family in a restroom at a time. If someone is in the restroom, please wait outside until they are finished.
  • We will live stream our service at 10:30am on Facebook Live and YouTube for those in our congregation who are at home. We understand being cautious during these times, and we want to stay connected with you whether you are at home or in service!

City HIll Kidz Covid Safety Precautions

  • Nursery—maximum of 6 children in this room; 1 volunteer per 3 children
  • Preschool—maximum of 10 kids in this room; 2 children’s volunteers.
  • Elementary—maximum of 20 kids in the cafeteria; 2 to 4 children’s volunteers
  • Youth—maximum of 12 kids in this room; 2 to 4 volunteers
  • If a child or youth arrives to church after their classroom has met the maximum amount of children, we will make every effort to get them in a classroom that is not full yet and close to their age level. If we can’t do this, we ask that the child sit with their parents in the auditorium.
  • All children’s and youth volunteers will wear masks or face coverings.
  • All children, kindergarten age and up, have to wear masks in compliance with state orders at this time. Strongly recommend masks for all children (except 2 and under)
  • Check temperature of each child that enters the classroom with touchless thermometer and have child sanitize hands.
  • Encourage frequent hand washing during classes, especially after restroom visits or diapers changes or if a snack is given.
  • Children’s volunteers will sanitize tables and toys after all children have been picked up by parents.
  • Elementary and youth class will use social distancing when applicable with spacing chairs and kids apart during activities.
  • Due to the decreased amount of volunteers in our children’s ministry at this time, the 5th Sunday of every month be a family service, so no children’s ministry would be offered on the 5th Sunday.
  • Parents need to socially distance in hallways as they pick up their children from their classrooms.
  • We will utilize a touchless children’s check-in process where parents can check their children in using their cell phones. (Parents MUST download the Church Center app to do this and we will send out an instruction video to parents.)

*As we navigate the Covid-19 situation, we ask for grace as we implement these precautions. Also know that these precautions may be adjusted after we get a few week into children’s ministry in ways that will better safely serve our children and volunteers at City Hill.
